Patient Tools tailored to your needs:
Measuring the performance of your practice requires no additional effort on your part. By grouping your patient data by outcome phases and configurable categorical information you have the basis for a powerful outcomes/performance measurement system. Because the Chiropractic Outcomes assessments, phases and categorical information is standardized, group average norms may be established for you and your practice and your information (with permission) may be added to state and national norms. Monthly, quarterly and annual trended reports rank how you, your patients and your practice are performing relative to the different norm groups over time.

Managing Your Patients Expectations
Based on the type and severity of the injury (risk adjustment, taken from the categorical information), the trended graphs in the Case Management reports can be overlaid with the average norm information from the same risk-adjusted group at the desired level (practice, state and national). This does a great deal to manage expectations. First, while setting treatment goals, the patients can see what is the typical recovery pattern. Second, if over time, the treatment progress is not keeping up with the norms, a frank discussion can be had about levels of effort and appropriate treatment. Third, if over time, the treatment progress is exceeding the norms, the patient can be encouraged by the progress and not worry that they are not trying hard enough.

Monitoring Your Practice
Through monthly, quarterly and annual reports you can see how you and your practice compare to state and national norms. Overall measures of pain management, function, satisfaction, etc can be tracked and compared, as well as risk-adjusted breakdowns around specific injury types. Being able to show how you compare/perform enables you to see what areas need improvement, while at the same time giving you the information you need to market and negotiate contracts.

Marketing Your Practice & the Chiropractic Profession
As a Chiropractor you operate in an extremely competitive market. Using performance information you can show the value of your practice. Banding together to maintain state and national norms gives the Chiropractic profession the performance information to show its value relative to other medical market segments. Becoming data-driven is the key to success.
